IDG's Parks towards the fourth industrial revolution I 4.0
Industrial Development Group "IDG" is a pioneer in the field of Industrial Development. IDG aims to establish and build up modernized industrial zones to serve local and foreign companies, create more job opportunities for a better economic environment and enhance the industrial community standards.
IDG has been developing, promoting and operating industrial parks in Egypt since 2008, IDG developed its first industrial park in the 6th of October City (e2
Park) It was built on an area of 3KM m2
. In 2016, IDG started as the only industrial developer in East Port Said Special Economic Zone (ep), on an area of 16KM m2
, located on the Suez Canal and destined to all major industries.
Moreover, IDG is currently developing Al-Alamein Engineering Park, a 2.7KM m2 area, located in the North Coast of Egypt.
Being a leader in their field, IDG recognizes the importance of enhancing the social, economic and environmental conditions in their industrial parks, adhering to the international standards advocating sustainable and decent work environment, in this context, IDG took their responsibility to contribute in environmentally and socially sustainable economic growth by applying the international framework to become Eco Industrial Parks.
Thus, IDG signed two memorandums of understanding with two big specialized foundation which are International labor Organization - ILO and Deutsche Gesellschaft für International Zusammenarbeit - GIZ.
ILO will be providing technical support to IDG to improve their social compliance within the industrial parks to comply with the national and ILO international standards of an Eco-Industrial park and GIZ will be providing technical support in the field of sustainable industrial areas and their whole life cycle and shall guide IDG in the use of the developed tools and materials.
Taking a step ahead, IDG is preparing their parks to accommodate I 4.0 by having an assessment which was conducted by GIZ in order to fulfill requirements to make their parks ready for I 4.0
